The Drift

It’s that time of year again! I’m one of the artists participating in The Drift, which kicks off tonight with an opening gala & art show. Local Vancouver artists have been paired up with various shops & stores all along Main Street, so folks can “drift” up & down the street while checking out lots of fantastic artwork. It’s great exposure for the artists, of course, but it also works wonderfully for getting new (potential) customers into shops they might not have known about otherwise. Love it!

I spent yesterday afternoon hanging my work at Plush – a very sweet little shop that carries exclusively handmade items by local artisans. They also make custom window shades, but all of that work happens in the back room, so it’s fun to see them utilizing the front of their store to support the handmade community. I couldn’t have asked to be paired up with a more lovely partner!

My work will be up until October 15th when the Drift wraps up & then some work will remain a bit longer, assuming it’s not all sold. 😉

Hours: 11:00 to 6:00

There is a selection of my lockets hanging right in the front window:

I have 12 paintings up plus some of my wood block prints & postcard packs. Plush has officially been Cagey Bee-ed!

If the beautiful weather we’ve been having holds up, I’m going to try to do some live painting outside the shop on Sunday, so please stop by & say hello.
